Marcial Gamboa Sánchez-Barcáiztegui was a Spanish military figure born on October 11, 1906, in Ferrol, and passed away on June 5, 1986, in Madrid. Supporting the Francoist side during the Spanish Civil War, he served in submarines. After the war, he became a professor and later the deputy director at the Naval School in Marín. He held various high-ranking positions, including commander of the Cartagena Arsenal and captain general of the Mediterranean Maritime Zone. In 1977, he was appointed senator by King Juan Carlos I during Spain's constitutional assembly.
