He graduated from Cornell University, excelling in Neuroscience and American Indian Studies, making history as the first from his tribe to graduate from an Ivy League school and as the only Doctor of Medicine from the Pascua Yaqui Reservation. Currently, he serves as a resident physician at Yale University in the Department of Psychiatry.
