Marcos Calarcá, born Luis Alberto Albán Burbano, is a Colombian former guerrilla member and spokesperson for the FARC. He became internationally known when the Colombian government requested Mexico to shut down FARC's office in Mexico City due to violent activities. Calarcá served as the FARC spokesperson in Mexico from 1993 to 2002. His wife, Amparo Victoria Torres, is the sister of Pablo Catatumbo, a FARC Secretariat member, and currently works as an artist. They reside in Canada with their two sons.
