Notably, he finished 20th in individual sabre and 7th in team sabre at the 2007 Games in Rio de Janeiro. His best Pan American performance was in 2003 when he placed 4th in team foil. Over his career, he won over 15 consecutive national competitions and led the Brazilian foil ranking for 2.5 years.
