Marcos Pereira da Silva, born on November 29, 1956, in Río de Janeiro, is the founder and pastor of the Church Assembleia de Deus dos Últimos Dias. He ventured into politics with support from singer Waguinho, running for senator and mayor of Nova Iguaçu in 2010 and 2012, respectively. His career has been marred by various criminal accusations, including incitement to prison rebellion, vandalism, money laundering, involvement in drug trafficking, multiple homicides, and sexual assaults. He was arrested for statutory rape in 2013 but was released the following December.
