Marek Karewicz (1938-2018) was a Polish photographer known for his work in jazz and rock music photography. He began his career in the late 1950s, encouraged by Leopold Tyrmand, and created a vast archive of around 2 million negatives. Karewicz photographed significant music events, including tours of Miles Davis and Ray Charles. He also designed approximately 1500 album covers for notable Polish artists and bands. He received honors from the Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique and was active in various jazz clubs and associations.
