He has served as the Deputy Director for Therapeutic and Preventive Care at IKEM since 2019 and was appointed as the hospital ombudsman in August 2023. Previously, he worked as a cardiac surgeon in České Budějovice, where he was a founding member of the South Bohemian Cardiological Center and its first head of cardiac surgery. He also led the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery at FN Motol and directed the Comprehensive Cardiovascular Center at VFN Prague.
