Margaret Vivienne Calvert (born 1936) is a prominent British typographer and graphic designer noted for her collaboration with Jock Kinneir. Together, they designed numerous road signs for the United Kingdom, Crown Dependencies, and British Overseas Territories. Calvert is also credited with developing the Transport font and the Rail Alphabet font for British railways, along with early airport signs. Their design work led to the evolution of the typeface into New Transport, which is utilized on the UK government’s single domain website, GOV.UK.
