Margaret Alice Rock was a British mathematician born on July 7, 1903, in Hammersmith, United Kingdom. During World War II, she worked in the cryptography department at Bletchley Park, where her mathematical skills enabled her to decrypt the Enigma code. This achievement provided Britain with a significant advantage in planning the Normandy invasion. Due to the secrecy surrounding her work during the war, much of her contributions were not made public during her lifetime. Rock passed away on August 26, 1983, in Worcester.
