Margaret A. Shonekan, born on October 28, 1940, is a Nigerian civil servant who had a long career at the West African Examinations Council (WAEC). She served as the Federal Civil Service Commissioner from October 1, 1986, to March 31, 1994. Additionally, she briefly held the position of First Lady of Nigeria from August 26, 1993, to November 17, 1993, during the transitional presidency of her husband, Ernest Shonekan.
