Margaret Southern is a Canadian equestrian facility owner born on February 26, 1931, in High River, Alberta. She co-founded Spruce Meadows in 1975 with her husband Ron, which became the largest equestrian facility in the world within 28 years. Margaret is recognized for her contributions to sports in Canada, having received numerous prestigious accolades, including the Order of Canada at all three levels. She and her husband were inducted into the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame in 2006.
