Born on February 29, 1924, in Yaroslavl, she became widely recognized after the singer Lyudmila Zykina performed her song, 'Rastot v Volgograde beriozka.' Agashina was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of Volgograd, where she spent a significant part of her life. She passed away on August 4, 1999, in Volgograd, leaving a legacy in Russian poetry and music.
