Margarita Ledo Andión is a Galician journalist, writer, and filmmaker born on February 5, 1951, in Castro de Rei, Galicia. She has studied philosophy and letters, and earned a degree in journalism in Barcelona. Ledo's literary works span poetry and narratives, beginning with her debut in 1970. As a filmmaker, she has directed several documentaries addressing historical and social issues. A member of the Real Academia Galega since 2008, she has also served as dean of the Faculty of Information Sciences at the University of Santiago de Compostela. Her contributions have significantly impacted Galician culture.
