Margaret Durrell, known as Margot, was an English memoirist born on May 4, 1920, and died on January 16, 2007. She was the daughter of engineer Lawrence Samuel Durrell and novelist Louisa Durrell, and the sister of poet and novelist Lawrence Durrell and writer Gerald Durrell. Raised in British India and England, she moved to Corfu in 1935. After World War II, she married RAF pilot Jack Preedy and later became a writer, known for her humorous stories about her family's life, particularly her book 'Whatever Happened to Margaret?'.
