Marge Piercy (born March 31, 1936) is an American activist and progressive writer known for her impactful literature. Her notable works include 'Woman on the Edge of Time' and 'He, She and It,' which won the Arthur C. Clarke Award in 1993. Another significant work is 'Gone to Soldiers,' a historical novel set during World War II that appeared on The New York Times bestseller list. Piercy's writings reflect her Jewish heritage, as well as her involvement in social and political activism, especially in feminist and communist ideals.
