Marguerite Ellen-Gaudin Stocker MBE was a prominent prison governor and engineer born on 2 March 1901 in Jersey. She served as governor of HM Prison Askham Grange from 1959 until 1967. In her early career, she became an apprentice engineer at Galloway Engineering Co., breaking gender barriers in a male-dominated field. Stocker also contributed to wartime efforts through the Auxiliary Territorial Service during WWII. She was recognized for her public service with an MBE in 1965 and participated in various discussions about correctional systems.
