Sir Mari Kapi (1950–2009) was a prominent Papua New Guinean judge and the fourth Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Papua New Guinea, serving from 2003 until his retirement in 2008. The first Papua New Guinean appointed as a judge, Kapi was noted for his legal rigor and contributions to common law. He also served on the Fiji Court of Appeal and was recognized for his judicial leadership with honors such as the KCMG. Kapi passed away from kidney failure in 2009. His legacy continues to influence the legal profession in Papua New Guinea.
