Maria Assumpta Schenkl, born Gertrud Schenkl on August 11, 1924, was a German Cistercian nun. She served as a high school teacher and held the position of abbess at the Cistercian convent of Seligenthal in Landshut from 1987 to 1999. After that, she became the founding prior of the Helfta convent in the Lutherstadt Eisleben. In addition to her leadership roles, she authored writings on spiritual life.
