Maria Dolors Alibés i Riera was a Catalan children's book author, historian, and teacher born on January 2, 1941, in Vidrà. She passed away on November 8, 2009, in Sant Pau de Segúries. Alibés authored around forty works for children and youth, including novels and short story collections, some of which were translated into Basque, Spanish, and French. She was a regular contributor to multiple media outlets and was the sister of sports journalist Arcadi Alibés. She co-authored a book on comics with cartoonist Juan López Fernández.
