Maria Beata Honowska, born Brodowska, is a Polish linguist and Slavic scholar. She served as a professor at the Jagiellonian University and the University of Nancy from 1968 to 1970 and was a visiting professor at the University of Clermont-Ferrand from 1980 to 1982. Honowska is a member of the Polish Academy of Knowledge and a full member of the Polish Academy of Sciences. She has been honored with the Cavalier's Cross of the Order of the Rebirth of Poland and was a participant in the Warsaw Uprising.
