María Jesús Cueto Puente is a Spanish artist born in Santander, Cantabria, in 1951. She specializes in sculpture and graphic arts, using materials such as alabaster, cast iron, and paper. Cueto studied Fine Arts, graduating in 1978, and later earned a doctorate in Fine Arts from UPV/EHU. She has been a professor since 1979 and has participated in numerous individual and collective exhibitions, both nationally and internationally. Cueto co-founded the multimedia group 'Cueto & Tonelli' in 1999 and has directed various artistic projects, contributing significantly to the contemporary art scene.
