Maria Juana Gesalaga Etxaide (born December 3, 1907, in Zarautz; died March 7, 2004, in the same place) was a political prisoner from Zarautz who was held in the Ravensbrück concentration camp. After marrying Jose Miguel Begiristain Urdangarin, a member of the Spanish Communist Party, they were involved in resistance activities. After being released from Ravensbrück, she lived in Bordeaux and later returned to Zarautz in her final years to live with her family.
