Maria Köster (1902-2007) was an Estonian centenarian, regarded as the oldest resident of Kihnu throughout her life. Known as Luha Mari, she married a widower 12 years her senior at 22 and moved to Luha farm in Lemsi village, where she lived until her death. Their union produced a son, Jaan, and a daughter who died young. In 1946, she spent a long time hospitalized in Pärnu, during which her husband passed away. She was honored posthumously as an honorary citizen of Kihnu.
