María José McCausland Echeverry, known as María McCausland, is a Colombian singer, dancer, and journalist born on September 30, 1992, in Barranquilla. She began her musical career in 2012 with the electro-pop single 'Nun Mires Tras' and gained national recognition with her 2013 ballad 'Siempres Supi.' Her 2014 single 'Queriendo Sola' reached number two on the iTunes Pop chart in Colombia. Additionally, she collaborated with Sony Music for an EDM project and performed in 'The Break of Dawn.' McCausland is involved in volunteer work with Suañar Despiertu and El Arte de Vivir.
