She has worked at NRK Rogaland since 1993, and before that, she held positions as information leader at Rogaland Teater and journalist at Jærbladet and Rogalands Avis. Terjesen has authored several works, including the nonfiction book 'Reisen til byen som ikke finnes' (1990) and the biography 'Kitty Kielland' (1999). In 2011, she made her debut as a fiction writer with the novel 'For Leas skyld.'
