Mariano Nicolás García was a Spanish lawyer and politician under Francisco Franco's dictatorship. He studied law in Murcia and became a notable member of the Falange and its student organization, SEU, eventually serving as its Secretary General. He held various positions, such as civil governor in several provinces and Director General of Security post-Franco. García was decorated with several honors including the Gran Cruz del Mérito Militar. He tragically died in a traffic accident in 2001, alongside his wife.
