Marie-Thérèse Armentero is a Swiss swimmer born on November 13, 1965. She won a bronze medal in the 50 m freestyle at the 1986 World Aquatics Championships and competed in the 1984 and 1988 Summer Olympics. Armentero set a Canadian Interuniversity Sport record in the 50 m freestyle, which lasted for 18 years, while at the University of Toronto. She also received the CIS Female Swimmer of the Year award in 1988 and later set a European record in the masters category. She was inducted into the University of Toronto Sports Hall of Fame in 2006.
