Marie Vodičková, born on January 20, 1951, in Prague, is the founder of the Fund for Threatened Children and the Klokánek network of children's homes. She studied law at Charles University and worked in the prosecution office focusing on child protection from the late 1960s. From 1990 to 2015, she served as the director of the Fund, which established Klokánek homes aimed at providing immediate care for children whose parents cannot care for them. She is single but has raised eight girls.
