Marieka Ratsma is a Dutch fashion designer and photographer born on December 25, 1984, in Woerden. She is known for creating the 'Biomimicry shoe,' a 3D-printed footwear inspired by a bird skull, in collaboration with Kostika Spaho. Her design was featured in the 'Shoe Obsession' exhibition at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York in 2013, and it gained further attention when actress Victoria Koblenko showcased it on the cover of the Dutch Grazia magazine in 2012. Ratsma is also a co-founder of the fashion brand SPEKLAB.
