Marija Kozar Mukič is a Slovenian writer and ethnologist, born on March 8, 1952, in Budapest. She spent her youth in Hungary and studied ethnology and Slovenian at the Philosophical Faculty in Ljubljana. After completing her studies, she returned to Hungary, where she became known for her work with the Slovenian minority. She has published over two hundred scientific and popular articles and six books in Slovenian and Hungarian, and is noted for creating the first bilingual ethnological dictionary focused on Slovenes in Hungary.
