Marilyn J. 'Corky' Olinger was a professional baseball shortstop who played in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League from 1948 to 1953. Born on June 7, 1928, in Sunbury, Ohio, she began her career in sandlot baseball and earned a place in the league after being scouted. Olinger played for the Grand Rapids Chicks and contributed to their playoff successes, including a championship in 1953. After her baseball career, she worked in the NCR Corporation and later in security before retiring in 1992. She passed away on July 4, 2006.
