Marina Kroschina was a Soviet professional tennis player born on April 18, 1953, in Alma-Ata. She competed in the sport from 1972 to 1989, achieving notable success in women's doubles, winning three WTA tournaments with her partner Olga Morozova. Kroschina reached the junior singles final at Wimbledon in 1970 and won the title in 1971. She was the Soviet national champion in women's singles multiple times. Tragically, she took her own life on July 4, 2000, in Kyiv, where she is buried at Baikove Cemetery.
