Mario Prestifilippo was an Italian member of the Sicilian Mafia, who briefly led the Ciaculli Mafia Family after the murder of Giuseppe Greco in 1985. A significant hitman during the Second Mafia War, he operated under Michele Greco, who was a puppet of Salvatore Riina. He was involved in many murders, including the infamous Circonvallazione massacre. Prestifilippo was killed in 1987 by armed assailants while fleeing, after opposing the execution of his friend Pino Greco. At the time of his death, he was a fugitive facing numerous murder charges.
