Marion Kische is a former German gymnast born on March 30, 1958, in Dresden. She represented SC Leipzig and began her competitive career in the mid-1970s, winning her first DDR championship title on the balance beam in 1975. At the 1976 Montreal Olympics, she earned an eighth place individually and a team bronze medal. Kische also reached finals on various apparatus, securing fifth place on floor and fourth on uneven bars. After her marriage, she became known as Marion Wellner and now lives in Leipzig with her four children, focusing on her career as a psychologist.
