Marissa Garrido Arozamena (May 30, 1926 – January 8, 2021) was a notable Mexican playwright and telenovela writer, active mainly during the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. She authored 45 adaptations and 65 original stories for television, with her most successful creation being 'La leona' in 1961. Her last original telenovela was 'Besos prohibidos' for Televisión Azteca in 1999. She was also the sister of Mexican actress Amparo Garrido.
