After working in The Hague, she moved to Paris in 1949, where she utilized various materials including wood, concrete, and stainless steel. Her artistic inspiration stems from nature, human forms, and music. Marita became a member of the Syndicat National des Sculpteurs et Plasticiens in 1970 and has exhibited widely since her debut in 1956.
