He has worked for various newspapers including El Noticiero Universal, El Correo Catalán, El Periódico, El País, and La Vanguardia, where he joined in 1988. He has served as a columnist, royal correspondent, and head of communication at the Godó Group, and he was the director from 2013 to 2020. Carol has also contributed to several radio and television programs and has published multiple novels, winning the Ramon Llull Prize in 2002 and the Prudenci Bertrana Prize in 2009.
