M. A. J. 'Marja' van der Tas is a Dutch politician born on June 14, 1958, in Alkmaar. She is a member of the Christian Democratic Appeal and served as mayor of Steenwijkerland from February 2011 to August 2016. Prior to that, she was an alderman in Apeldoorn from 1998 to 2006. Van der Tas studied at Wageningen University and Utrecht University. As of January 2024, she holds the position of Mayor of Bronckhorst. She is married and has three children, and is active in her local church community.
