Marjorie Pigott (1904-1990) was a Japanese Canadian artist known for her adaptation of traditional Japanese watercolour techniques to depict Canadian landscapes. Born in Yokohama to a Japanese mother and an English father, she was trained at the prestigious Nanga School. After relocating to Canada during World War II, she became a significant figure in the art community, teaching the Nanga technique and developing her unique semi-abstract style. Her art has been exhibited across Canada and is included in national collections.
