He served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives for the 6th Worcester District from 1999 to 2007 and was a member of the Southbridge Town Council from 1996 to 1999. Carron faced legal issues in 2012 when he was sentenced to 6 months in jail for driving under the influence, marking his third such conviction following previous offenses in 1987 and 1991.
