Mark Dantonio is an accomplished American football coach born on March 9, 1956. He served as head coach at Michigan State University from 2007 to 2019, leading the Spartans to significant success, including three Big Ten championships. Notably, he guided the team to their first 13-win season and a Rose Bowl victory in 2014. Dantonio became the winningest head coach in MSU history, retiring in 2020 with a record of 114 wins. After a brief retirement, he returned as associate head coach in 2023.
