Mark Halsel is a former American basketball player, born on November 8, 1962. He played for the Northeastern Huskies from 1980 to 1984, where he became the all-time leader in rebounds and was the only player to surpass 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. Halsel was part of the first NCAA men's basketball tournament team in 1981 and earned multiple accolades during his college career. He was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in 1984 and played professionally for seven seasons internationally and in the CBA.
