Mark Roebuck is an American composer and musician based near Charlottesville, Virginia. He gained prominence as the lead songwriter for the underground power pop group The Deal in the 1980s. Roebuck is also recognized for his later musical project, Tribe of Heaven. One notable work of his, 'Imagine We Were,' was recorded with Dave Matthews between 1989 and 1990, but it was only released independently in 2005. His contributions to music, especially in the power pop genre, have left a lasting impact on the scene.
