Mark Vigil is an American composer born in October 1954 in Spokane, Washington. He studied piano under Corri Celli and Jessie Parker, and composition with Janice Giteck at the Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle until 1981. He earned a Master's degree in Composition from the University of Oregon in 1996, where he studied with Robert Kyr and Hal Owen. Since 2002, he has been a student of Tomas Svoboda. Vigil has composed chamber music, piano works, a mass, and sacred choral pieces, as well as music for Gamelan orchestra.
