Marcus Vinícius Resende Gonçalves, known professionally as Markito, was a Brazilian fashion designer born on April 5, 1952, in Uberaba. He became one of the most influential names in Brazilian fashion during the 1970s. Tragically, he was recognized as one of the earliest victims of AIDS in Brazil, passing away on June 4, 1983, in New York.
