He holds a Doctorate in Social Sciences and is a freelance journalist, as well as a lecturer at Lahti University of Applied Sciences, Design Institute. He has contributed essays and articles to various publications including Parnasso, Etelä-Suomen Sanomat, and Helsingin Sanomat. Koski has also written columns for City and Apu magazines. He currently resides in Lahti and received an artist pension in 2018.
