Markku Olavi Suominen (November 8, 1949 – May 22, 2013) was a Finnish singer, composer, and lyricist. His recording career began in 1968, and he is best known for the Finnish version of Bobby Goldsboro's song 'Honey' titled 'Hän' and the Finnish version of José Feliciano's hit 'Sade'. He released children's music albums and founded Ring Music, a record company that went bankrupt in 1987. Suominen was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 2013 and passed away in Oulu. His children include successful musicians in their own right.
