Marko Dragićević was a Bosnian Franciscan friar born on February 6, 1927, in Miletina, Međugorje. He completed his elementary education in Međugorje and attended the renowned Franciscan gymnasium in Široki Brijeg, where he faced a tragic event in 1945 involving partisans. After surviving this ordeal, he finished his studies in Sarajevo, where he entered the Franciscan Order in 1946 and was ordained as a priest in 1951.
