Marko Jelnikar was a Slovenian gardener and landscape architect, born on May 28, 1928, in Sisek, Croatia, and passed away in 2009. He designed several public parks and residential plantings for state protocol and diplomatic missions in Belgrade. Jelnikar also organized park spaces for multiple residential areas in Ljubljana, Velenje, and Litija, and planned memorial parks in Izlake and an agricultural school park in Grm near Novo mesto. He authored several books on gardening, with a bibliography encompassing 17 entries.
