Markos Drakos (September 24, 1932 - January 18, 1957) was a fighter and member of EOKA during the British colonial period in Cyprus. Born in Lefka, he joined the OCHEN early on and led a team nicknamed Lycurgus. He organized several attacks against British forces, including bombings and assassination attempts. Despite being captured, he escaped and continued to fight until he was killed in action while ambushing military vehicles. He was highly active in the resistance against British rule and is remembered for his bravery.
